About me:
Two years ago, I landed in Sydney with a plan: two years, one degree, go back home. But the best part about life? It rarely ever lets you stick to “the plan”.
I’m Ayush Gupta — a tax consultant at Vialto Partners by profession, but at heart, I come from a family rooted in something far more personal: fresh produce. Back home in India, my family has spent decades exporting fruits and vegetables across the world — from the UK and Canada to Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai, and Riyadh.
But moving away from home changes you.
You grow. You adapt. And somewhere along the way, you start missing the little things.
The festivals you can’t attend.
The friends you grew up with.
The feeling of home that no video call can fully replace.
And strangely… for me, it was mangoes.
Not just a fruit; a whole season, a whole emotion.
It’s the first bite of a perfectly ripe Alphonso.
It’s summer holidays, gali cricket, messy hands and full hearts. It’s family dinners that end with “Gotlo kono?”
And that’s when it hits you… it was never just about the mango. It was about everything that came with it.
So here I am — taking the first step toward expanding my family business into Sydney.
Starting with mangoes.
Because sometimes, the smallest things carry the biggest meaning. And this is just the beginning.
